Judging
Winners of the Black Shield Awards are selected by a committee of security industry gurus.

- Black Shield CORP : This category comprises of the organization who have achieved excellence in applying security in their work in Public Domain. This category involves banks, telecom, Finance, Travel domain which directly deals with Public resource, individual data and connectivity.
- Black Shield GOV : This category is to recognize the Government body or individual accomplishing pioneering job in implementing security for the government networks and assets or has strategically contributed to the cyber security of our nation.
- Black Shield Luminaire : A person who has made significant contribution to the security landscape in India and has been an inspiration to others.
- Black Shield - Innovator : This award is for the organizations making remarkable innovations in the field of security and also demonstrating the sense of social responsibility.
- Black Shield - Null Star : To recognize the efforts of individuals contributing to Security communities in India, this award will be given to the real community stars.
- Black Shield - Null Best Chapter: To recognize the efforts of individuals contributing to Security communities in India, this award will be given to the real community stars.
